With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Luba moved to Turkey (Istanbul) for two years. In the summer and fall of 2022, while staying at the art residency, she created several projects (sculpture, painting and collage). The Helikon residence is located in the small town of Izmit near Istanbul. It is a free space for artists from different countries, and it was there that Luba first felt like a real artist.

Currently, Luba works as an illustrator and graphic designer for the Ukrainian positive news media ShoTam, considers it the best media in the world, and implements projects in the field of animated collage videos.

ARTWORKS

Art for me is the energy of liveliness, playfulness and mischief.

And it is important for me to fill my inner child through creativity. I like to create a fantasy universe, intuitively, sensually, and naively. Where everything is like in a fairy tale with strange creatures, whether human or animal. Where every object has a soul, a face and a character. It is important to me that the focus is on the person, his or her body, touches, dreams and fantasies.

I raise topics that are understandable to everyone, reveal them in bright colors, through a surreal world. I try to convey to the viewer the feeling that there is still light and hope in the end, and that all bad things always end.
