VIKTORIA OSTRENKO
Resident of CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT: December 2021 - Present
Born in the small town of Horishni Plavni. She drew from kindergarten, so her parents sent her to art school. Then, she entered the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. She realized the need to create by drawing posters for departments, where she had «tails». Then, like everyone else, marriage and children. But the thirst for creativity did not die down and to monetize talents, Vika became a make-up artist, using her face as a canvas. That's how her love for portraits grew. She is a portrait artist.
She started collage in 2018, inspired by a collage artist from a distant country. Then the global pandemic and isolation strengthened the interest in this type of art. Bottom line: meet wonderful people who bring collage to the rank of art.

ARTWORKS
The profession of a make-up artist had determined the direction of my work - portrait.
Observing women, their relationships with the world around me, inspires me to be creative. In the works, the viewer can always see and feel the feminine beginning, which I convey not only in form but also in color. Attentive contemplation of my contemporary, communication with her helps to create a more realistic portrait, even when I do not use classical techniques. Through portraits, I study a woman's character, and it helps to understand and accept myself.
